Delaware’s deer, dove, resident Canada goose, teal and gray squirrel hunting seasons to open in September

LEADelaware, the state’s agriculture and natural resources leadership program, accepting applications

LEADelaware, the state’s agriculture and natural resources leadership program, is now accepting applications for its fifth fellowship class, which will run for two years starting in January 2018. Applications must be received by October 27, 2017; applicants will be notified of their selection in early December.

Our non-profit, the World Punkin Chunkin Association, a 100% volunteer based group, has recently come under litigation regarding the incident where Ms. Suzanne Dakessian, a Sharp Entertainment’s employee, was involved in an unfortunate accident at our 2016 event. The pending lawsuit lists our non-profit and its officers as Defendants.

Focus Multisports Donates $30,000 to Delaware Seashore Preservation Foundation

On July 15, 2017 Ernie Felici and Rick Hundley, of Focus Multisports, presented a donation of $30,000 to the Delaware Seashore Preservation Foundation (DSPF). The gift was a result of the proceeds from 2017 Coastal Delaware Running Festival.

Changes in lifeguard hours at Delaware Seashore and Fenwick Island state parks announced

Beginning Monday, August 21 through Friday, August 25, 2017 Delaware Seashore State Park’s Tower Road will be unguarded. Beginning Monday, August 28 through Friday, September 1, 2017 Delaware Seashore State Park’s Tower Road and Fenwick Island State Park’s Fenwick Lot will be unguarded. Weekends will be guarded at both locations.
